BioBee BioSwirskii is a predatory mite, Amblyseius swirskii, used as a worldwide biological control agent against whiteflies and thrips in various greenhouse and open field vegetables, ornamentals and fruits. It comes in a 1-liter container mixed with bran and prey mites, Carpoglyphus lactis, which are harmless to the crop and do not survive on the plant.
2. How should I apply BioBee BioSwirskii?
Prior to release, the container should be gently rotated to mix the predatory mites in the bran carrier. The mites can be sprinkled over plant leaves or placed into a BioBee D Box. Apply BioSwirskii early in the morning or late in the afternoon under mild temperatures. The release rate depends on the crop, ecosystem, and rate of pest infestation.
