Coating the Wires: If you live in an area with a high acidity in your soil, you can enhance the life of your wire standards by coating them. Some customers dip the bottom 4″ of the wire into a material called ‘Dip It’, a product similar to a roof coating. If you decide to use this method with our PMD-10 or PMD-21 labels, be sure to put the nameplates on the wires before dipping to ensure that you will be able to slide them into place.
